This morning's episode of "Meet The Press" was not quite the full-bodied highball I was hoping for. It began with a new NBC News poll about the early picks for the 2024 presidential race. In results that shocked no one it appears that everybody likes nobody. Then it was John Sununu's favorite son Chris. The Republican governor of New Hampshire danced the hokey pokey around the thorny issues of abortion and gun control. But he does win this week's Boy Howdy for saying if Donnie Trump is the GOP nominee again he could be in line to be a 4 time loser. And " Four Time Loser" sounds like a great song title. Then it was the return of Illinois Democratic senator Richie "Call me Dick" Durbin. With this appearance he now ties the amount of times I've heard "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift at the store while looking for an ice cold Yoo Hoo. On the topic of what to do with Supreme Court Justice Clarence "Cash and carry" Thomas he had the same plan I did with my acne in high school. Knock on wood and hope for the best. The only other thing I learned this morning was that listening to Karl Rove on "Fox News Sunday" is like being stabbed in the eyes with cocktail forks. It feels so good when it's over.
