The first Republican Presidential debate was telecast Wednesday on Fox " News". It was a display of 8 candidates searching for a constituency. The first 5 minutes were used, in classic Fox fashion, to air a propaganda film which equated Uncle Joe Biden to Satan's right hand. The handpicked crowd behaved like a WWE audience booing and yelling throughout the 2 hours. Tim Scott reminded the crowd 4 times he was raised by a single parent. 

Chris Christie chastised Donnie Trump and if the crowd had brought tomatoes they would have thrown them. The Velvet Hammer, Nikki Haley, contrasted herself to the 7 men by pointing out she was a woman. Asa "Mohair Sam" Hutchinson reminded people that he was indeed in the race. Former VP Mike Pence told us about his conversion to his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. The fast fading Ron "DeSaster" DeSantis declared a day one edict to authorize a deadly force policy at the Mexican border. Once you cross the border you'll be shot "stone cold dead." Non drug dealers need not apply. DeSantis is applying the Foreigner "Headknocker" theory. "He'll teach you a lesson, with his Smith and Wesson." 

6 of the 8 candidates said they would support Trump even if he was a convicted felon. I wonder how effective "Vote for me I'm not in prison" would be? 

The target of most of the attacks in the evening was Vivek "Richie Rich" Ramaswamy. As the lead-off guest on today's "Meet The Press" Vivek did not disappoint. There is just as much violence on the political left as there is on the right, he said. He blames racism on the use of racial preferences. He would also win in a landslide if nominated and he would appoint Trump as a key advisor. He would institute massive layoffs at all government agencies. And the last election would have been totally different had the electorate known about Hunter Biden's laptop. It would depend on people's taste in amateur porn, I guess. 

Next on the docket was our old pal Independent Senator Bernie Sanders. Watching Bernie is like watching a "CSI Miami" rerun. You know exactly what you are going to get. Health care, climate change, and income inequality should be at the top of our national agenda. As an aggressive populist, he never mentions that he owns 4 separate houses. He fights the fight that he never wins. But he is a year older than Joe Biden. And seeing both of them it seems Sanders is 10 years younger. 

At his arraignment Thursday at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia Donnie "This is a travesty of justice" Trump told officers he was 6 foot 3 and weighed 215 pounds. I had cataract surgery over the winter. My peepers work very well now. He is not 215 pounds on this planet or any other. From small things big things someday come.
