This week it is the 151th British Open preempting " Meet The Press." Pip pip and cheerio.
It
was certainly a week for Springfield, Missouri's favorite political
disorganized organization the GOP. In what will go down as the most
disgusting event ever in the history of the U.S. Congress Majorie
Traitor Greene held up a poster board size photograph of Hunter Biden's
penis. During a hearing of the House Oversight Committee, being
broadcast live on C-SPAN, Fox " News", and other news outlets America
got to gasp in awe of the size of Hunter's Louisville Slugger. What this
had to do with the IRS investigation into Hunter's tax returns remains
to be seen. But it was a delicious piece of irony that this occurred on
July 19th. If you check your calendars, July 19th is National Hot Dog
day. Make all the immature jokes you want. Hunter's attorney, the
redoubtable Abbe Lowell, is now suing the Venus in Furs for violating
several federal and state laws. My favorite is the one called revenge
porn. If you were to have a liaison with another person and then broke
up, you could not post nude photos of them on public forums. In other
words you cannot show pictures of my winkie on Facebook without my
permission.
In other desperate grabs for
attention Florida Governor and flailing presidential candidate Ron "
Little Hitler" DeSantis announced his state was going to sue Bud Light
for using transgender advocate Dylan Mulvaney in an ad campaign. He says
since Bud Light sales have gone down it's affected the stock earnings,
and Florida state employees have Bud Light in their retirement
portfolios. And my dog has fleas.
Texas
Senator Ted "Unlikable" Cruz has urged citizens to boycott the Barbie
movie because it has a deep Communist Chinese undercurrent. Ginger
Gaetz, wife of the alleged teenage sex trafficker Florida Congressman
Matt Gaetz, went to the Barbie premiere in a dazzling pink dress. After
the film she scurried to any available microphone to declare that Ryan
Gosling's Ken was a disgusting low testosterone male. Obviously Josh
Hawley was not offered the role. She went on to say it was a disaster
because it did not promote faith and family values. I had similar
complaints about the new Mission Impossible movie.
The
record global heatwave, the war in Ukraine, the potential gutting of
Social Security, the ever widening gap in wealth distribution are
nothing but throwaway afterthoughts. The real dinner table family
discussions in America revolve around men's genitalia and movies about
toys. Every Hallmark movie is the same and bees make honey.
